Founded thirty years ago, the Makassar-France gallery specializes in French Art Deco furniture and objects. Located on the Right Bank in Paris, it showcases masterpieces made by the most famous designers of the 1930s. The french sculptor Ferdinand Parpan (1902-2004) is also carried by the gallery from the beginning. Makassar-France plays a leading role in the French Art Deco market and gathers international clients. It participated to several fairs in the United-States and in Switzerland, and created major collections in Japan and in Taipei. For the Shanghai Fine Jewellery and Art Fair, Makassar-France chose to exhibit few precious pieces of furniture in macassar ebony and shagreen as well as some remarkable ironworks and many sculptures by Ferdinand Parpan epitomizing his work.
